Murrundindi has been playing didgeridoo for over 70 years and has recently returned from a trip Nhulunbuy where he spent time on country with the Yolngu.

This didgeridoo is hand picked by Murrundindi and is made from a native Australian Eucalyptus tree (NT Woolybutt) that has been hollowed by termites and then further worked on by professional craftsmen to turn it into a higher quality yet affordable instrument.

Once cut, the tree or sapling has been allowed to dry, to help minimise and prevent the likelihood of cracks and splits occurring later on and the bark layer is also then stripped.

It is then further shaped and refined to improve the sound and resonance. The didgeridoo is then taken back with a fine sand to reveal the character of the grain. Bondcrete is applied to protect and seal the timber and further highlight its natural beauty.

The didgeridoo ends are also cleaned up and a small amount of chiselling is done, if need be.

The mouthpiece is fitted with a pliable beeswax mouthpiece. The beeswax provides the player with a comfortable seal and is also adjustable to different sizes to suit each individual player. The didgeridoo is 142 cm in length and plays in a key of E.

Handpainted by Australian Indigenous artist Earl Clements from the Northern Territory, Australia.

Shipping is free within Australia. Fully insured and delivered between 1-6 business days depending on location.
